"The Teens Musical Theater Collection" (choose between the male and female editions) is my favorite and most used collection. Recommended for students up to age 18. Available with a CD of the accompaniments: a must for at-home practice
I use several of the series "The First Book of ...Solos" by Joan Frey Boytim. These are excellent choices for the serious young student. The "Easy Songs for the Beginning..." series are for elementary and middle-school-age students and high school singers with no previous solo experience. The "First Book of Broadway Solos" are good for high school and college level vocalists.
Selections for Classical Singers
Every classical singer and college level singer needs a copy of 24 Italian Songs/Arias.
Choose between high voice and low voice. Singers should use the low voice book if they're unsure of their voice type.
Get the accompanying CD for at-home practice.
26 Italian Songs and Arias: An Authoritive Edition Based on Authentic Sources [Medium / High] (Italian Edition)
"Adventures in Singing" by Clifton Ware is a vocal textbook that is used in many college voice classes.
For the serious, self-motivated adult student of voice.
Some typical Vocal Folios, with a variety of musical styles...from Broadway to the Beatles.

PIANO BOOKS
I recommend and use "Piano Adventures" by Nancy and Randall Faber for my piano students.
